Pilot Recording Studios was founded in 1993 by producer/engineer Will Schillinger. Originally based in New York City, Pilot relocated in 2007 to the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, where it now resides in a beautiful, secluded studio housed in a former church.

Backed by a staff of skilled engineers and producers, Pilot has hosted sessions spanning major-label record production, singer/songwriters, film scoring, and ADR.

Over the years, Pilot has earned a reputation for exceptional recording and mixing — from live basics to the most involved multi-format projects. We’re especially known for our signature drum and guitar sounds, along with our curated collection of vintage instruments, amplifiers, and microphones.

Please contact us to book a session or schedule a tour of the facility. In the meantime, visit our website for gear lists and photos. We look forward to working with you.
